FAQS
EMBROIDERY KIT FAQS:
Are the kits suitable for complete beginners?
Absolutely! All kits come with full instructions and materials. If you have never embroidered before, the kit will talk you through each step. Plus you will have everything you need to start sewing right away.
What size hoops and fabric do you use?
Most of the embroidery kits include a 6 inch embroidery hoop, however a few kits do use 4 inch hoops. The fabric is an approx 21cmx21cm square piece for the 6 inch hoops and a bit smaller for the 4 inch hoops. Please check the product description for each kit before ordering.
Do I need to trace the design onto the fabric?
No, for convenience the design is pre-printed onto the fabric for you. So no fiddly tracing involved!
What is included in each kit?
- Wooden embroidery hoop
- DMC cotton stranded threads
- 2 different sized embroidery needles
- An 'All You Need To Know' instruction booklet
- Colour and stitch guides
- Bright white cotton calico fabric
- Iron on interfacing to attach to the back of your fabric
- Wooden pegs to help store your threads
- Finishing thread
What do I do with the finished piece at the end?
It is up to the individual, but some ideas include gifting it to a loved one, or hanging it on a wall/shelf for some happy vibes.
How do I care for my finished piece?
Please do not wash the fabric or hoop! Keep your finished art dry and store/display in a dry warm room, indoors only. If the fabric gets dusty you can use a lint roller over the surface to give it a freshen up. Make sure to keep your fabric taut inside the hoop and check the screw is tight too to avoid those wrinkles.
PDF PATTERN FAQS:
How do I receive my pdf pattern order?
Once payment is complete, your pdf pattern will be emailed to you within 24hrs. You will receive the email from rosestitchart@outlook.com. If you are having trouble, please double check your junk/spam folders before contacting us for help.
What size are the pdf patterns?
The patterns are designed to fit into a 6 inch embroidery hoop. The pdf document is A4 size so you can print. Make sure to check the 'Print actual size' box before printing. You can of course print the pattern larger or smaller to your suiting however sewing the design may be less successful (e.g. sections may be too small and fiddly to sew).
Do I get instructions with the pdf pattern?
Of course! Along with your pdf pattern, you will also receive a 16 page 'All You Need To Know' digital booklet, plus a pdf colour and stitch guide to help you with your project.
